If you like id start making very detailed maps and post it to you to keep you updated so you can tell me where to improve. Actually i dont know any of the devs so i thought ill post it in here :D

It will tell you all about the custom entities in EX. If you have trouble with anything post here or try me on the IRC channel.

First thing i thought when i used the editor was WTF where can i start and what the hell shall i do O_O i think ill have a hard time with the tutorials but im trying to put something up... really :x

You dont actually need the MDK anymore, as the full mod covers it (and has more props). Theres some very good youtube vids on how to start in Hammer if you do a little search for it. I would love to help you, if you would tell me the error reading. It could be a mapping error, or it can be a simple error also a bad error, which then you will might have to restart unfortunetly.

I just started to learn how to use hammer and made my first map today so horrah for fellow noobs :D Have you tried to follow this guide? http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Getting_Started I found it to be extremely helpful. Sure, I don't know everything yet like how to make surf maps and how to do objectives but that's all part of the fun, no? :) |
