I have spent the another week fixing the bugs that were reported during last week's alpha test, buffing the Tarantula and Terminator.

Install the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer
  • Navigate to the "Tools" section on your Steam games "Library"/
  • Install the "Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer"
  • Run the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer at least once.
  • You can exit once the menu has finished loading.

Install the latest Exterminatus Alpha
  • If you already have a copy of the EX alpha, delete it.
  • Run the alpha installer and follow it's instructions.
  • Restart Steam.  You should now see both the Exterminatus Beta 7.5 and Exterminatus Alpha listed in your library.

Balance
  • Buffed Terminator armor effectiveness against most attacks, but still vulnerable to psionics.
  • Buffed Terminator starting ammo from 60 to 120
  • Buffed Stormbolter damage from 17 to 25
  • Buffed Tarantula damage from 8 to 25 to compensate for it's lower ROF

Tweaks
  • Moved the Tarantulas "eye" so attacking players show now remain in it's field of vision even at melee range.

Bug Fixes
  • Tweaked and how the Sormbolter picks up it's damage, should be using the correct value now
  • Tweaked and how the Heavy Bolter picks up it's damage, should be using the correct value now.
  • Reduced the font size on the marine ammo counter, so it wont glitch when the count goes over 100.
  • Fix the client-side crash bug.

Known Bugs
  • Some particle systems visible through walls (muzzle flash/bolt impact).

After Action Report 7.93
Most of this weeks bug fixes work, except the stormbolter, which still cannot get through carnifex armor.  I am relived to see the terminator armor buff has not made it uber.  Client's are not crashing any more, but now the server has started to bomb after a map change.

The heavy bolter is working again but the tracer is not showing in 3rd person view.  The stombolter's tracer IS working.  I must find out what they are doing differently.

Thunderhawk has a couple of model bugs, the broken fence panel at the crash site and the chimera near the generators no clipping properly,

A charged plasmagun can now 1 hit a zoanthrope, i'm not sure I like that.  I may buff the thrope's health and nerf the plasmangun, just a little.

I feel the tarantula is a bit too effective now.  I think I might nerf the damage back a bit.  What do you guys think?

Additionally, the acid floor in ex-hive displays the poison indicator in the HUD (even for tyranids)
