The Beta 8.21 release candidate is a dry run test for the next Beta version.  The release candidate is only being deployed as a full install, like the Beta.  8.21 features new builds of ex_forge, ex_hive and ex_orbital, new graphics for ex_hive and ex_forge, updated marine footsteps, new skins for the servo skulls and missile launcher and a flameproofing the Tarantula.


The FTP is on the blink again, so i'm relying on ModDB to authorise and distribute this version.  Until they get their finger out i'm just going to post this with a Google Drive link in it.

Install the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer

• Navigate to the "Tools" section on your Steam games "Library"
• Install the "Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer"
• Run the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer at least once.
• You can exit once the menu has finished loading.

Install the latest Exterminatus Release Candidate

• If you already have a copy of the EX Beta, delete it.
• Run the Release Candidate installer and follow it's instructions.
• Restart Steam.  You should now see both the Exterminatus Beta 8.21 listed in your library.

Balance

• Buffed the Tarantula slightly by making them fireproof.

Bug Fix

• Fixed silent marine footsteps.

Tweak

• Added overview graphics to ex_hive and ex_forge.
• Added thumbnail graphics for ex_forge.
• Added servo skulls to ex_hive and ex_forge.
• Added imperial forcefield plyons to ex_orbital.
• Added glowing lights to the servo skull and missile launcher (thanks to DontAsk).

I am planning on recoding demos of the test games on the RC for promotional purposes, so please be on your best behaviour ;)
