40K Source

Beta 8.60 Release Candidate 3 (RC3) features fixes and improvements to the maps  ex_lycantium, ex_orbital and ex_ichar_iv including some new 40k textures and a new prop.  As I described in detail last week RC3 is part of the final build up to a very important Beta release.


The ModDB mirrors unlock at 12:00 GMT, if it's busy or not working the installer can be downloaded from 40ksource.com (http://www.40ksource.com/files/Exterminatus_Beta_8.60_RC3.exe).  Please try the ModDB first.

Install the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer

• Navigate to the "Tools" section on your Steam games "Library"
• Install the "Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer"
• Run the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer at least once.
• You can exit once the menu has finished loading.

Install the latest Exterminatus Release Candidate

• If you already have a copy of the EX beta, delete it.
• Run the release candidate installer and follow it's instructions.
• Restart Steam.  You should now see Exterminatus Beta 8.60 listed in your library.

• Fixed the missing skybox models on ex_lycantium.
• Improved the texture on the capture objective model.
• Updated textures on ex_ichar_iv to use newer EX textures rather than generic Source ones.
• Added a higher detail version of the square eagle prop.
• Updated textures on ex_orbital to use newer EX textures rather than generic Source ones and to use the new eagle prop .
