Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: Reaper P7 on February 03, 2009, 09:41:26 PM I would be honored if I could work with you Divinity. You do awesome work, and I think we could both (as long with the mod) could grow a lot from a partnership.
If you don't mind me asking, what do you use? Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: DiViNiTY on February 03, 2009, 10:19:50 PM Yeah, and i like your orchestral Music. They are very good!
I use Ableton Live with the Korg Legacy VST Plugins, a M-Audio O2 USB Midi controller and Behringer Truth B2031A Studio Reference Monitor. Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: Reaper P7 on February 03, 2009, 10:28:03 PM Feel free to contact me via email ;D
Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: Typheron on February 04, 2009, 06:41:10 PM Sounds good DiViNiTY, from the other theme thread the general idea is for some kind of semi ochestrial piece that relates to the 40k universe with dark overtones.
a good example of the "feel" cited was that of the Terminator theme. Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: DiViNiTY on February 06, 2009, 10:47:50 PM I remixed the Theme music from Pun1$er and Kevin Macleod.
Download here: http://uploaded.to/?id=7rg62s This is the first Remix i ever did. Maybe i do another Remix. Any suggestions? Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: DiViNiTY on February 10, 2009, 06:57:07 PM Here is a Preview from my upcoming Soundtrack:

Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: Reaper P7 on February 16, 2009, 05:44:15 PM I remixed the Theme music from Pun1$er and Kevin Macleod. Download here: http://uploaded.to/?id=7rg62s This is the first Remix i ever did. Maybe i do another Remix. Any suggestions? I really like it, but like mine, it has that choppy feeling. Do you speak decent English? Maybe sometime we can communicate through steam and share some ideas. I haven't been on a lot recently, but I am going to be on more frequently soon. I am emailing my STEAMID to you now. ;D Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: DiViNiTY on February 23, 2009, 05:04:26 PM I have 5 new Songs for the Exterminatus Soundtrack:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=X78958U5 alive down heart sync metal noise torture They sound all like Rock/Metal/Industrial. Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: ChromeAngel on February 23, 2009, 07:54:43 PM I haven't had a chance to review the soundtrack yet, but for those who don't want to enter a capcha and wait 45 seconds for a download, I put a copy up here :
http://www.chromeangel.co.uk/Exterminatus/Divinity_EX_Soundtrack_Prev2.zip Hope that's OK Divinity. I will have proper listen tonight. Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: Typheron on February 23, 2009, 09:19:57 PM Divinity_metal_noise is made of win.
In fact its made of so much win this happened: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymgEJgZlTns Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: DiViNiTY on February 23, 2009, 09:46:24 PM Wow, Typheron that vid is cool. Sounds very good ingame! :D
Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: ChromeAngel on February 23, 2009, 10:33:55 PM I do like all of that selection DiVINITY. I could quite happily listen to those for hours as I code, map or model for EX. The only, very minor remark I would make is that the drums do tend to overpower the rest, can you reduce their volume a bit on the drum channels?
Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: Gforcemember45 on February 24, 2009, 09:05:45 PM Pretty good, i like most of the songs you guys have made. Punisher's music makes great for the main menu and Divinty's is good background music for when in firefights. Although i think punisher music would be a bit better if he had some latin or gothic chanting, would be moer apropiate.
Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: DiViNiTY on March 23, 2009, 05:16:04 PM I have 5 new Songs again:
http://uploaded.to/?id=aa9qd9 aggressive creak low spirits sector controll victory And i have a suggestion: Maybe the Songs can be played randomly like in Sauerbraten. http://sauerbraten.org/ Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: Battle Brother Arius on March 23, 2009, 08:44:40 PM All amazing sound tracks! All very suited to a war like, action atmosphere. How much they fit in with a Warhammer 40K atmosphere however, I don't know...
Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: Typheron on March 24, 2009, 12:01:59 AM anything fits in 40k, it does nto need to be all gothic and dark.
Dont have time just now to review them all, btu ill get it done at work tommorrow (the joys of headphones) ad piost up comments. I also have a pile of new vids capped from a test only last week, maybe something will be inspired. *edit* Listened to them, there good and would make cool backing tracks, although im unsure if were going to have backing tracks. Gonna have to ask chrome that one. Title: Re: Soundtrack Post by: ChromeAngel on March 24, 2009, 04:29:54 PM I am on my holidays, listening to these new tracks as I code. Good to hear the drums fitting in more subtly in this new batch.
Low_spirits and sector_control aren't really working for me musically. It seems like the guitars are fighting the ambient spacey layers rather than complimenting them in these two. I really couldn't distinguish any special favorites out of the rest, they are all so good. I will have to look into playing a randomly selected track and see how practical is would be. I would certainly like to include more than one. DiViNiTY, did you see the topic about musical cues (http://www.40ksource.com/forum/index.php?topic=720.0)? I was hoping you would contribute a few ideas. It's a chance to put your art front and center, where players will take notice. [edit] Oh that was easy. Random sound tracks up and running :) [/edit] |
