will this ballancing of gaunts/grenades also come into play regarding the ranking of the opposing team?
like very well experienced tyranid players going up against newer marine players and the marines having access to a bit more equipment?

Exterminatus - Rival Species 2 / Player Discussion / Idea for class selection/specialization

how about only rewarding long time players with the option of veteran. but wait there's more....
you can't have two veterans in a team so this veteran picks or is assigned other players. not just random noobs and newbies but other players that have found a specialisation such as, this player is good with the melta so he's you special, this one is great with the heav bolter so them plus some newer players as tacticals and there you have a nice balanced squad
and now allow me to point out the obvious fault with this idea....
it would mean that there needs to be a constant influx of people either starting out and being tactiacls or players that wanted to stick with their bolters and not try a melta or hev bolter and of course we would all end up being veterans with no one to comand
but it sounded good at the start no?

from what we have heard about the nastiness of the 'nid in melee it would have to be a very confident or very silly marine who wanted to go toe-to-toe with a carnnifex using a weapon that took a while to deal out some damage hard as nails veteran or not
but will the 'nid attacks have a charge up delay on them? perhaps not the lictor but the carnifex should deal out massive damage but att the cost of speed.

as soon as a nid player spies a melta wielding marine he should be sending in the infiltrated/cloaked/stealth lictors to go for the surprise kill...
but that sounds like a pretty good tactic for a nid player regardless of the foe he faces

The melta gun is the perfect weapon for taking out a nid since it works like a hairdryer on 'roids. Intense heat at the point of impact causes any water in the target to become agitated, become steam and then superheated plasma. Think of it like this: all the water in your body becoming superheated = bad.
