4 people makes prizes cheaper so I'm fine with that  Grin

Although in a defense map, if one team specializes in defence, when their offense turn comes around they're most likely lacking. Although for sake of simplicity Tug of war maps may just be best.

Cozmicshredder is his steamname right?

Wouldn't mind hosting it, although I don't know much about setting one up.

I'm thinking about it going:
teams of 5-9 players (depending on how many people we have actively)
defensive map (where one team attempts to run the time out while the other attempts to accomplish objectives)
Progress is measured by who gets to the furthest objective. And if they tie, move to a tug of war type map.
Teams take turns on both sides.
possible prizes?

also should we use beta 7 or the most current alpha?
And would this be done on the Cozworld server?

So I Haven't been to EX in a while and after rousing from my slumber I feel like a good way to get a bit of activity would to be to host some sort of tournament.

dunno how it would work or anything but I feel like it would stir up some activity.

Also I havent been seeing any reminders from the exterminatus game group it move or anything?

(also steam name is gestapo velociraptor if any of you remember me)

Maybe a Hero unit, Like a Warrior Alpha  (or is it Prime Warrior)  which it would use the same model ( a little different( and it would do lots more damage or have special weapons over the normal warrior. And than on the SM side you could have a captain.

P.S.

(what program do you use to make the models/animations?)
6  Exterminatus - Rival Species 2 / Player Discussion / Unit Tier Chart on: February 14, 2011, 07:35:09 AM
So basically a Conceptual Chart of Ideas for Classes on both, yay for new bloods and there Ideas.
.........Tyranids                           I                SM
Tier 1[termagaunt, hormagaunt I Assault, Tactical            ]                                                             cost 18
Tier 2[warrior, Lictor, Biovore     I Sgt, Special (plas), HeavyBolter(With a nerf)]                             cost 54
Tier 3[Carnifex,Thrope,Gargoyle I Vanguard, Special (melta) missile launcher]                               cost 108
Tier 4[ Trygon, or tryannofex      I Thunderhammer/stormshield Terminator or lascannon marine] cost 216
^- would just be amazing and cool to see a trygon and a ss/th Termi going at it, but its a big request with many balance issues and coding problems, I took coding in Highschool and hated it. and it was simple coding too.

Difference between sgt and vanguard is that a sgt just has a normal bolt pistol chainsword combo (chainsword would be a bit buffed) and the Vanguard would have a Powerweapon and a plasma pistol.

Loving the game though, keep up the goodwork Cheesy.

Awww. no roasting warriors over an open fire, with jack frost nipping at your nose? damn.

Also I Made this post when I had just played on the Nid side only, the Beam it creates just screams Lascannon  though. Also the Cooling effect is kind off, its just goes poof, which is kind of annoying. Even in that case it would turn into rock which would still hurt. But enough logic, thats just me talking, Also If i'm right Alien swarm (the free steam game) was based off the HL2 engine and it has fantastic flame effects.
But i'm not a coder sooo yeah

P.S Love the Mod
But dammit take off the duration on the devourer cannon, 2 hit kill <@#$ers.

Smiley
8  Exterminatus - Rival Species 2 / Player Discussion / Flamers & meltas on: February 12, 2011, 05:06:21 AM
Now seeing that I'mma Salamander Marine, I like burny burny melty melty guns.

So without further Ado just a basic look at what these weapons could look like,

Melta:
Weapon range, is rather short and arced a little, your shooting a Extremely flammable liquid, so yea
Damage, Heavy Damage, can slag any of the smaller classes easily
Long reload time and limited ammo
Fire speed, Constantly fires until clip dries up, The fire stream van be moved across.

Flamer:
Range is ultra short, but of course has a wider spread
Damage is moderate and as the flame is held on a target longer the damage increases.
Moderate reload time
Low ammo (this ties into the longer the flame is held the more damage, so he has to use it sparingly and not to try and hunt out Lots of lictors)

Ideas anyone?
