1  Exterminatus - Rival Species 2 / Contributions / Re: Blast from the past!!! on: August 30, 2008, 01:40:23 AM
Hey everybody!!! Sorry for the extremely long delay but things got a little hectic in the real world. But I'm back (again) with screens of my current progress on the Space Marine Flamer. I don't even know how many polys it's going to end up being. I want to finish the complete rough before I go and start optimizing. Below are the first WIP pictures. Even though there its just the beginning feel free to throw out any constructive critiques or recommendations:

2  Exterminatus - Rival Species 2 / Contributions / Blast from the past!!! on: June 23, 2008, 06:24:46 AM
Hello everyone! Some of you may remember me from the original Rival Species modification. Pretty much all of my work was on the Necron and Tau weapon models for the game, although I did start to branch out into skinning them near the end.

I have decided to get back into 3d modelling after a long hiatus and wanted to lend my skills to this mod as well. Let me know if there is anything specific that you would like me to do as some sort of "test contribution".

Thanks and I look forward to helping the mod however I can!!!

P.S.
Here are the links to the models that I worked on for the old Mod:

3  Exterminatus - Rival Species 2 / Contributions / Modelling Program on: April 06, 2006, 04:49:13 AM
What 3D modelling program is everyone using at the moment? I have a feeling that Milkshape is not going to be very useful for models of 2000 polies.

The best way to model the nid weapons would probably be to leave out the arms on the in-game character models and make the part of the weapon models since most 'Nid weapons are part of the actual organism.
5  Exterminatus - Rival Species 2 / Contributions / Modeling Requirements and Limitations on: March 30, 2006, 03:08:44 AM
I was just thinking that it would be useful to have a sticky here that had all of the limitations/requirements for polygon numbers, texture files, and possibly a list (or link to a list) of required animations for the player and weapon animations. I know that I can never remember any of these facts and they would probably be useful for anyone who is interested in helping out with the mod.
