Before I start writing, I'm going to leave a few notes. First note is, this story is fifteen years later from the prologue. Second is, I can't really be bothered to do a battle so I'm going to do something else.

---

It was only a few years since Cassius had fought at the battle of Orion IV, and now only a few years later he's walking in the desert alone.
He stopped. Ahead of him was a small figure. "Severus?" he said, and looked away. When he looked back the figure was gone.
He approached towards the figure's position and saw something. It was his hammer. The hammer his Sergeant gave him at the Battle for Orion IV.
Visions of the sergeant dying filled Cassius' mind. He was tired already, and slowly growing insane.
He picked up the hammer. A hand held on to it tightly, a hand of one of his own battle brothers.
Sticking the hammer in the sand, Cassius grabbed the hand and pulled hard. In the sand was merely a skull, power armour and a Bolter in which Cassius had lifted.
He checked himself. He had no ammo, no weapons, nothing. He picked up the bolter. He was even strong enough to hold the bolter in one hand.
He fired at the sand. Four bolter rounds went straight in to the sand creating small craters. Suddenly he turned to the hammer, remembering something.

"Give me the hammer Cassius," Severus requested.
"Why should I?" Cassius said back.
"Give it to me."
Cassius held up the hammer. "This?"
"You would defy your own captain?"
Cassius placed the hammer in to Severus' power fist.
"Thank you. I'll give this to one of my men."

Cassius looked at the hammer. Something was wrong about it. It had engravings on the side of the hammer. It had the Imperial eagle on one side with a skull, on the other side was the crux astartes - and on a chain was the mark of Chaos. This hammer had belonged to a traitor.
He looked around. A fire warrior and Pulse Carbine were stuck in the ground. He had been marked for Chaos too, as well as his gun. Cassius was already sick of what he saw.
The bolter was the only pure thing.
The sound of a thunderhawk hit his ears immediately. He looked up. A thunderhawk was entering the atmosphere. Eventually it landed.
The gate opened. Five Imperial guard soldiers all armed with Lasguns ran over to Cassius.
"No more..."
The guardsmen examined Cassius carefully.
"He's one of us sir," one guardsman said.
"Good," another guardsmen said. "Bring him into the Gunship."
Cassius took the Hammer from the ground from where he had placed it, along with the bolter. He walked towards the gunship.

"I hereby exile you, Brother Cassius, to a doom worthy of your punishment. Start walking, and when you come back, I want to see you with a good, learned face."

His exile was over.

Comments? Note that the bits in italics are flashbacks from the end of the battle. The rule of the chapter was that you shouldn't take other people's arms and weaponry after they die, even if given to you... I know, pretty sad chapter rules.
