I had been hoping to release a Beta this week, but there was just too many bugs reported after the 7.99 alpha test.  This week i've been adjusting a large number of the EX maps to try and prevent exploits where leaping players can see outside the map.  Due to a large number of map updates and nearness to a new Beta version this weeks ZIP file will is a full install, rather than a patch.

Thanks to Adam AKA Diablo and Chris AKA Commissar Valvatorez for there screenshots of map glitches (over 70 screenshots in total).

Install the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer
  • Navigate to the "Tools" section on your Steam games "Library"/
  • Install the "Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer"
  • Run the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer at least once.
  • You can exit once the menu has finished loading.

Install the latest Exterminatus Alpha
  • If you already have a copy of the EX alpha, delete it.
  • Run the alpha installer and follow it's instructions.
  • Restart Steam.  You should now see both the Exterminatus Beta 7.5 and Exterminatus Alpha listed in your library.

Tweaks
  • Treat flamer deaths the same as Melta deaths for ragdolling.
  • Added Statue props to City Conflict and Lycantium.
  • Added a button controlled door to the vent on Orbital to slow down players using that short cut.
  • Added an extra level of detail to one of the bronze forgeworld panel props (the one with two tanks).

Balance
  • Nerfed the rate at which the Meltgun does damage.
  • Nerfed Lictor talon damage from 66 to 50.

Bugfixes
  • Attempted to fix a client crash during connection (physics code, possibly ragdioll related).  I would need to see more player's DMP files to determine if this is the only case.
  • Prevent Leaping players from seeing out of the map on Thunderhawk, Tarsis Ultra, Ichar IV, Valley and Lycantium.
  • Fixed the "dead HUD" not showing the correct mission when first connecting to a server.
