I've updated the media page with some pictures of our work in progress weapon models.  This should let you know what we've got going on behind the scenes a bit.

Media Page

I'll work on something to get news posted on the homepage more frequently too.  2 months with no updates is too long

Nice guns, the swords and grenade seems just a bit boring...

Good to have some news at last.

Is the marine or bolt pistol close to getting in game?

great work, even if I don't really like the power sword. It's too similar to the chain sword..
The bolter is great!

the decision made by chrome is no

Flamers are annoyinly difficult to make due the required particle effects.

The plan is to have basic kit, 1 heavy and 1 special wep, plus come CCW stuff for the first internal alpha thats planned. No idea what the first release will be as the poll still has to close and thertes talk of a SM VS CSM deathmatch mode to get thinghs started.

in short we know only a little more than anyone else.

for the time being we are going for the basics and are going to build on it, starting with weapons that are easier to implement.  things like the flamer and plasma guns require individual effects that would take quite a while to get right.

im guessing the bolt pistol will be implemented in one of the very first versions along with the marine model and the normal bolter; we just need to finish rigging him then we might see what we can do  Smiley

Which brings us back to my "minimum approach" thread/suggestion of two marine classes:

Tactical: Bolter
Assault: Chainsword + boltpistol
