Alpha version 8.05 updates to the majority of the new player skins, new particle and sound effects and minor code changes to improve vote notifications and bolt hit particles.

Installer

Zip File Patch (contains only the changes since the previous alpha)

A serious problem with the Lictor requires the installation of another small B patch after installing 8.05

(ModDB downloads may take a few hours to be authorised)

Due to technical difficulties I am forced to rely on ModDB to host the downloads for this patch.

Install the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer
  • Navigate to the "Tools" section on your Steam games "Library"
  • Install the "Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer"
  • Run the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer at least once.
  • You can exit once the menu has finished loading.

Install the latest Exterminatus Alpha
  • If you already have a copy of the EX alpha, delete it.
  • Run the alpha installer and follow it's instructions.
  • Restart Steam.  You should now see both the Exterminatus Beta 8 and Exterminatus Alpha listed in your library.

Tweaks
  • Fix malformed shaders and un-used proxies in the majority of new skins.
  • New eye glow effect to the tyranid skins, thanks to DontAsk..
  • New Venomcannon Impact sound, thanks to DontAsk..
  • New tyranid particle effects, thanks to DontAsk.
  • New ambient battle sounds (used in ex_lycantium), thanks to DontAsk.
  • Tweaked some of the tyranid player model skins.
  • Tweaked the lighting and effects in ex_lycantium.
  • Tweaked the lighting and skybox on lycantium.
  • Tweaked the tactical overview to make more room for the map.
  • Tweaked blood effects on players when hit to make them more visible.
  • Tweaked the map vote notification code to make it more visible.

Looks like the glowing eyes effect broke the lictor cloaking ability.  Installing the B patch should fix it.
