Alpha 8.27 features updates to the Tyranid Devourer and smoke grenade effects for the Dreadnaught.
If you have problems with the ModDB mirror the installer can be downloaded from
40ksource.com. Please try the ModDB first.
Install the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer- Navigate to the "Tools" section on your Steam games "Library"
- Install the "Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer"
- Run the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer at least once.
- You can exit once the menu has finished loading.
Install the latest Exterminatus Alpha- If you already have a copy of the EX alpha, delete it.
- Run the alpha installer and follow it's instructions.
- Restart Steam. You should now see both the Exterminatus Beta 8.21 and Exterminatus Alpha listed in your library.
Features- Devourer tracer and impact effects from DontAsk4470.
- Devourer firing sound effect from DontAsk4470.
- Dreadnaught battle cries from Plague Marine Champion.
Special thanks goes to Plague Marine Champion, who has also contributed a number of voice recordings this week. I expect to integrate them into the mod in the coming weeks.
Bug fixes- DontAsk4470 has optimized the smoke grenade effect to reduce lag.
- The Devourer weapon should now work as expected. Making the Devourer a viable alternative to the Deathspitter.
- Fixed some "missing" sounds.
Known issues- Tyranid warrior plays the wrong aim animations when using the Devourer.
- Placeholder HUD graphics for the Devourer.
- Dreadnaught player model is still twitchy.
