Hey guys.

Im writing this post regards to this video: http://www.moddb.com/mods/exterminatus/videos/a-heavy-time#imagebox

Personally, the gameplay seems great, also litterally sounds great! However, one thing, I think the speed to crouch should take a bit longer (Only by seconds) I just feel that with the heavy duty armour, the player should see/feel the effects of it, and feel the superiority of the marines. Also it keeps it realistic instead of players crouching up and down at 100 mph lmfao.

These are only my own opinions, I don't think that not carrying this out will ruin the game, i just think doing it will add effect Smiley.

I'm not trying to be bossy, just trying to help. Thats all that I intend.

Oh, I like the sounds of this.  Good suggestion.  The development team and testers might have something to say against it from a gameplay point of view.  However it does sounds like something that would be doable.

Im ok with that, although my one concern would be its effects on the half life duck-jump.

Just don't emphasize the insane usage of it in your maps, like in many other mods.

Marines are pretty much the slowest losers in WH40k anyway.

Necrons are, i think you will find, slower in terms of 40k tabletop although they can get back up which mitigates being shot to bits.

The duck/jump is a handy thing that is expected on the source engine, while its not needed at all for access on any maps (fex is too big to actually do it, he requires disabled access generally) it can be useful for getting a better position, or accessing areas by alternate routes.

Its an option we like to leave open to players.

It is obvious someone doesn't use tactics!  Cheesy

I personally have a Company of Blood Angels at my disposal and have done since 2nd ed.

The comment on tactics stands, a marine force is mroe than capable of being either very shooty or very assulty or anythign in between and through proper use of terrain for cover and fire support can easy get into charge range. That power armour save helps a lot too.

Arius comment stands, but try and keep this on topic and be wary of insults as although "ya ruddy git" is clearly a play on Ork speak, some people wont get it and may take offence.

Ah on the contrary good sir I do play Space Marines.

I have never once lost my army before they have engaged the foe.  Their armour pretty much is the equivalent heavy cover and if you use your force tactically in accordance with the map, instead of making a beeline towards the enemy, then it makes things a lot easier.  Using fast attacks, scout biker squadrons for drop pod beacons, biker squadrons, land speeders or even if you just use a Rhino or Razorback to get your troops in, makes a lot of difference as well.
Playing as the Astartes is all about striking the foe in a movement of swift retribution and if you fully utilise the armaments of the Space Marine Arsenal this is very possible.

Unless of course you meant that you don't play Space Marines and in fact play Orks.

Oh and on track with the thread, I agree with the suggestion.  Even though Space Marines move in Power Armour like it is their second skin it is realistic to assume that they must appear very bulky and this would be reflected in their movements.  It is aesthetically pleasing as well.  Grin
