A little media page update, more partially done textures for the models, a new Bolt pistol and the mighty Thunderhawk Gunship. mmm flying tank... We lost a team member at the start of this month which has slowed development, were now desperatly in need of animators to work on the project in order to get all the models in game so that internal alpha testing can begin. We also need other team members to help map, skin and model for the mod. If you can help in anyway leave a post in the forum and we will have a chat.

There's a spelling mistake on the Media Page, see if you can spot it

Thunderhawk model is nice. I really like the skin for the big scales on the termagaunt, though the skin is clearly still work in progress.
It seems like the heavy bolter has a gun barrel that is wider than the ammo size, which don't make sense. It's a bit hard to see, might just be the perspective...

Yes, the barrels on bolt weapons are laughably large, but this is 40k not realisim

if you wanna know the fluff reasoning of the barrel sizes (plus how the bolter is supposed to work) try to find the cutaway that was done of them. Its an attempt at justifying why it looks the way it does.

There is a cutaway diagram of how a Boltgun works made by GW somewhere.
If you can find it it has all the details on how the bolter is supposed to work, including why the boltgun muzzle is so large.

the muzzle is so large because the gun fire .75 calibre bullets, thats 17mm across and given that bolter rounds are nothing more than RPG's...wait a friggin minute...WHO THE HECK IS GONNA ARGUE WITH ANYONE HOLDIN A .75 CAL GUN THAT FIRES RPGS!!!!!!!!
