A few alpha builds back I switched both the melta weapon over to using a client-side particle system effect contributed by The VMan.  The beam now goes smoothly where you aim it, but there is a side-effect.   If another player gets killed while using the meltagun the beam says on.  It does no damage, but looks buggy. 

Despite many weeks of trying I can't make it stop and it's reached the point where I am thinking of switching back to the old style melta beam to be rid of this bug.

So the poll question is this do we stick with the melta effect that was used in Beta 6.25 or put up with this bug in the next Beta version?

Personal I think we should let the melta beam in. Its looks to nice to put it out and this little bug dont really disturb me.
