Plasma Weapons

Plasma weapons fire magnetically contained "bolts" over highly super heated gas, known as plasma. Plasma bolts are easily hot enough to melt even armor grade metals. Due to the sophisticated technology required to build and maintain plasma weapons and the arcane state of Imperial technical culture weapons of this type are relatively rare and frequently unstable.
