Overview
Most tactical squads contain one marine who is trained in the use of support weapons, which are often rare, difficult to use or otherwise specialised in their function. The 'Specialist' class in Exterminatus is a Tactical marine who has traded in his Boltgun (general purpose combat rifle) for a Meltagun (short range, high energy beam).
Specialists can be recognised by their distinctive beaked helmets that hark back to the old MK6 power armor.
Weapons
The main battle weapon of Speical marines is the very deadly Meltaguns . Along with a few Grenades, backed up by a Bolt Pistol side-arm and a Knife.
Tactics
Meltaguns are really useful against large targets, where you can whack them with a large dose of damage very quickly or against swarms of smaller enemies, where you can swing it's beam around like a scythe. It is however quite limited with it's range and ammo capacity. Keep an eye on your ammo counter, you don't want a fizzle when the enemy is in your face. Be careful not to scythe though your own team mates when friendly fire is on.
Meltaguns can be used to scorch cloaked lictors, making them much more visible to your team mates.
