Well, okay, sure, it's just that you made the HB sound super-powerful when you said it could down a warrior in 3 shots.

It's obvious someone doesn't play Space Marines, ya ruddy git.

Exterminatus is being developed by much the same people as worked on the Rival Species mod for Half-Life 1.  Source was a logical choice as it has much the same structure for modding, reasonable documentation and tools familiar to HL modders as well as being a graphical upgrade, incorporating physics and displacement terrain.
Well, okay, but you could have gotten better graphics and physics if you would have upgraded to, hell, not even the Unreal 3 engine, just the Unreal 2.5 engine. "It's easy" doesn't really churn out as a good excuse to me, the potential player, when it means your mod was less than it could have been.

Yeah and it makes it accessible to loads more people since, and this is taken from statistics, the games on the source engine are played by many, many people.

Who doesn't have HL2DM? Or Gmod?
Wait, they're aiming for profit?

the HB has a 150 shot clip, reloading is an optional extra most of the time so the reload time is mostly irrelivant.

To put it into perspective 3-4 HB shots will drop a warrior. The Heavy bolters true flaw lies in his speed (or lack of it).
umm... your heavy bolter marine reloading should be the crucial and tense moment where the rest of the squad has to double their efforts in order to not be swarmed. For the Marine to just wait two seconds and start annihilating everyone again would kind of eliminate that opportunity for the Tyranids, along with the tension that goes for the Marines.

Im ok with that, although my one concern would be its effects on the half life duck-jump.
Just don't emphasize the insane usage of it in your maps, like in many other mods.

Marines are pretty much the slowest losers in WH40k anyway.
"For the Emperor!"
*eight turns later*
"Now prepare to taste the sword of - oh gee, my battalion's been shot to shreds. Good game everyone."

I can't understand why you chose the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and yet, at the same time, thought it would be a good idea to pick the Source engine. Source is incapable of the large scale battles that Warhammer is popular for. Plus, it's technically an upjumped Quake 1 engine, so that's kind of a downside.
