Truly, you must have been gifted with vision from the Emperor himself to have crafted such blessed thing as Exterminatus.

Where do I start?  With the first thing I noticed.  The heavy thud of my boots as I strode forth.  There is nothing greater to set the atmosphere of being an Angel of Death than the rumbling, ominous sound of my footfalls.  It becomes a beautiful thing of background noise as you get used to it and doesn't become annoying.  I can't wait to hear the sound of a band of my Brothers storming forth to deliver death unto the foe.

Next, the roar of my Bolter.  That furious, explosive bang is so befitting of a weapon of the Astartes.  In DoW II I was thoroughly pleased with the accuracy of the Bolters, the noise they made and the mini-detonations on impact, but in Exterminatus it is exactly how I imagine the sound and feel of a Bolter to be from a first person view.

Then, the maps.  I have perused a few now and I have to compliment you on all of them, especially Digsite and Thunderhawk.  The work you put into them is blatant.  The symbols of the Imperium, Inquisition and Mechanicum are amazingly done and the podium's and console stations as well.  It all adds to that feeling of being in the 41st Millennium!

The modelling is also marvellous, the sheen of the gunmetal that clads the Bolter, the movement of the hands as they grip the grenade, the scale of which represents the massiveness of the Astartes perfectly.  Apart from the character modelling, the vehicles, Thunderhawks and buildings are also superbly done.  I still marvel at the elegance and style of the encampment in Thunderhawk.

There is so much more to say that it has escaped me, but you have created a truly magnificent mod and deserve much recognition!  Congratulations and thank you!  Grin

Indeed I agree, but the work you put into the Tyranids rival that of the Space Marines.  The footfalls are great, and the shrill roars you hear when you hit the run button really make you feel powerful, and the screams of dying Space Marines fuel that feeling of power.  Most of the maps are quite well balanced and I love nearly all the maps. (I have my qualms with a few, even then they are still enjoyable Tongue)  I think you guys really picked a good time to release this beta, for the few errors it has the game plays great.

Oh, why not include a war cry for the Space Marine run?

I believe 'Courage and Honour' would be appropriate here, since we are the Ultramarines.

Or we could be generic and have a 'For the Emperor!'

Throw that in suggestions, maybe include some voice commands eh?  Wink

In order to add more voice cues we'd need voice actors and more sound technicians to do the post processing.  The guys who did our sound effects have largely moved on.  The EX team is largely dependent on passing talent for our sounds.

I could try my hand at voice acting, but I'm no sound technician...

ideally what you'd need is the space marine voice changer application and a form a recording application like soundstudio e.t.c, then just askt he guys what file type they need the sound bite. most SM sound the same as it is.

i wouldnt mind giving it a go when i get some free time for you guys to see if its any good?
