Hi, I have a question about the implementation of power fists in this mod. Will they be used? I've seen plenty of ordinary space marines implementing power fists, and personally, i think they would be an awsome addition to the game's close combat aspects.

I could just imagine having a powerfist, then after clicking the button or holding it down, you charge it up, and then release for a powerful blow that could send their tyranid ragdoll hurling against a wall leaving splatter marks on contact.

Oh and on a side note, I feel what makes first person shooters the most fun of all, next to story and atmosphere, is when they have satisfying weapons. I mean, really satisfying.

Currently there are no plans to introduce powerfists at this time.

This may change however once a full beta is released to the public once we see how things are working.

ncie idea tho.

I agree satisfaction is somehting i'd look for in EX's weapons.  Working out exactly what expectations exisit to be satisfied is half the trick.

Powerfists are almost a must for Terminators, and it would be a cool weapons option for Veterans.

Aw man, gypped. PF's for Vets are a must-have then, otherwise we can't have any epic power fist vs. carnifex fights!

I wouldnt rule out power fists or terminators for later on.  It rather depends how badly the marines struggle with the nid classes weve got.

from what we have heard about the nastiness of the 'nid in melee it would have to be a very confident or very silly marine who wanted to go toe-to-toe with a carnnifex using a weapon that took a while to deal out some damage hard as nails veteran or not

but will the 'nid attacks have a charge up delay on them? perhaps not the lictor but the carnifex should deal out massive damage but att the cost of speed.

its good that someone is taking interest.

No nid attacks dont charge up, at least there CC ones dont, there is a cooldown period on there ranged stuff however.

Well, a smart Space Marine player would have his fist charged before he got close enough to be minced. It would be interesting, if it were powerful to kill just about any 'nid with one hit, but had a very long cooldown period. Essentially he could go kamikaze and bag himself a Carnifex, only to be swamped by the Warrior and gaunts behind him...
