This post is pretty much going to be a post with a review with a little bit of suggestions in it.

I've been playing Exterminatus since 5.01 and I have liked the mod ever since I started playing it. I'm not really familiar with the 40k universe with only basic knowledge of the races. I was introduced to the mod by two of my clan members until around 5.04, right before the game got a real population going. Sometimes they will play it, but 90% of the time its just usually me >_>

For the game itself, its fun to play on both sides, but i do prefer to play as tyranids for the melee combat, more fun to me. It appears to have a somewhat nice balance of range vs melee combat with the two races, though the warrior's venom cannon seems pretty :/ at times doing an insane amount of damage from both perspectives.  Also, why are tyranids so frail to falling? Seems you can fall from half your body height and take damage, but can jump off the highest points on the map and take the same amount of damage.  Same being with marines, except its about 2 bodies tall.

Marines - Basic "shoot the aliens" with a bit of capping/defending the objectives here and there can get boring at times. A bit more diversity with game modes and objectives would be nice, but I understand its just a beta.  Tactical marines are pretty balanced, Specials are pretty much assoholics when it comes to the tyranids specialty of CQB, Veterans are a nice class to kite with its speed, heavies are pretty wtf in groups.
Terminators being the new class are basically overpowered. I've been in the crossfire of a terminator and I have played a terminator class myself. The stormbolter can basically hold off a horde by itself. In a group... yeah, basically tyranid team loses. It's also the only marine equipped with a flashlight that apparently only looks down outside of first person Tongue. The only thing really holding it back is it inability to jump and relatively low ammo capacity compared to the heavy.

Tyranids - As stated earlier, it is my preferred class. I usually have 80% of my experience playing this mod with this race in addition to all of its "i can't fit through a door if i'm larger than a lictor" glory. Warriors appear to be balanced to its SM counterpart.  The Carnifex can be either a waste in some maps or the game changer in others.  Its size limits the practical use for it, but sometimes you can pull of some pretty ninja moves on a few particular spots on the map (yes, a giant behemoth that you can hear even when it walks being a ninja). Zoanthropes is my current second favorite class with the psychic attack. The primary is pretty bleh at the moment, maybe it could use synapse as a primary to be a small healer/ berzerk effect (increased speed/melee damage)?
Lictors is my favorite class, but with its stealth system sometimes you can move right infront of a player and he won't notice you at all. Other times you can be hiding, crouching, staying absolutely still (not even moving the mouse), and yet get shot from a good distance away perfectly. As a marine, I almost see them perfectly if they are moving in front of me at any distance, and can generally see them if they are standing still.
I would like to be a genestealer, would be a nice alternative to be a fast melee unit.  When will you get around to adding them in?

It's a nice mod that I look forward to see many new elements be put into the game. Overall, I would give this an 8.5/10.

Thanks for the feedback.  I am working on a nerf for the overpowered terminator, keep an eye out for a patch for that sometime this weekend.  Meanwhile Farseer is working on the Genestealer, which is planned for the next big patch (beta 6.0).
