Yeah, when I went to Gamesday I saw the trailer. The textures are awesome but the graphics are bad, in my opinion. Still, pretty cool game. Too bad my PC can't run it :evil:

Graphics bad? given that this is a RTS not a FPS there still good, very good. That was all in game.

Well, I say they're bad because most 3D RTS games turn out not smooth enough on the pixel edges (or is that just my graphics card?). Thus I say the graphics are not up to full standard. But the textures are awesome as hell.

its a expansion, final one for just DoW.
although you dont need winter assult to play it, just the origional DoW but you cant play IG if you dont have winter assult.
You cant take graphics as crappy due to your machine not handling them well, trust me with a decent PC DoW looks fantastic, especially when you have 2 IG allies and a full rack of whirlwinds and basalisks making mincemeat out of orks.

I see they are blurring the boundaries between rendered cinematics and in-game scripts with that vid. I mean do you *really* need better models than that for an action movie?
I wonder if the marine HUD shown there is codex enough to copy in EX...

You dont even need that... if you have dark crusade, then u can play, but only Tau and necron... Thats why you should buy Company of Heroes aswell, because you recieves a free copy of DoW (yea, full version, cool ey?) |

I like Tau, just not in the terms of initiative. They get Crisis Battlesuits which pwn all and they get Gun drones which are really cheap and said to be crap, but very efficient. I also like the fact that you getto kill 'em Necrons... I like Necrons, and I love the monolith and destroyers. The monolith, mainly because its guns are unbelievably nasty and the destroyers are off the scale in terms of their destruction factor... Man, I even lost a Leman Russ to one. |

Since I now have something to use as voice reference:
- The EX marine should have a better mic., too much radio noise on this one.
- Maybe a bit muffled voice, since a marine is talking inside of a helmet.
- More warrior-like - a bit deeper, mili-talk = fast, clear.
