The skin for the last of the Space Marine classes has just been finished. So I present to you the Veteran. A decorated veteran of hundreds of battles, with decades of hard won experience on the battle fields of the 41st millennium, this class will get up close and personnel with the Tyranid foe, using a variety of 40ks most iconic weapons, such as the chainsword and power sword. Darkwulf has been making some weapon models for our Planetary Defense Force, by way of the Lasgun and Autogun, the stock weapons of the imperial guard.

The skin for the Tyranid Warrior's scything talons is ready for show, completing the Tyranid arsenal planned for version 1 of EX.  Now that my computer has risen phoenix like from the ashes here is a higher resolution (wide screen) version of the Tyranid Wallpaper that was promised last month.

Typheron is putting great effort into teaching himself to animate our Tyranids, but we still have a lot of work to do on that front.  Help animating would be greatly appreciated, especialy from experienced animators.

That compression is bothering me...

mmm... good stuff once again. The full-sized nid wallpaper looks evil.

Btw, doesn't the GW official ultramarine vets have white helmets or something or is it just the 1st company?

thats just the 1st company. They like other SM chapters have vet squads in every company. Only the 1st company wear white helmets

You are thinking of something else.
The special weapons operator in Ex has a cone shaped nose, or a "beak".

In the TT game, the "beaked" marines are just old models that people mix in their armies to make them look different.

actually your wrong there MIGB, the "beekie" marine is a different mark of space marine armour (the last 3 versions have interchageable parts) and thus the plasticmarine spruce actually comes with beekie heads.

not old, just different. Also remeber that the armour of the marines is viewed as sacred and having a spirit, so older armours are veneorated rather than replaced.

I think there what he meant by old was used to be produced by GW but not so much anymore. I havent seen any of those heads on anyones space marines recently, but maybe its cause people dont like them. i havent actually seen the plastic marine sprue cause i dont play them :O

I quite like the beaked heads... they look cool. Especially with the boltgun

I agree. they look really good and they add variation to the marines rather than having them all the same.
