funny , why didn't i have that info before?
so much time passed and only when this appears in game , everypone opened their eyes?Huh?

I didn't even spot anything wring when I was texturing and rigging it, getting it in-game was the time when I noticed it.  Personally I think it's fine, it's just another style of plasmagun from what you might expect.

Can you help me guys? I can't launch alpha. I've installed it like it's descripted on website, and while Beta 7.25 launches and plays normally, the alpha doesnt. When i try to launch it, only thing I get is standard HL2 loading intro and menu background, and after 2-3s it just magically disappears. No errors, anything. Did I do domething wrong, or it's on your side?
Cheers!

It's unlikely to be at our end, but this sounds like what happens if you extract the patch without copying the ex folder first.  I suggest you delete your ex_alpha folder then follow the installation instructions again from scratch.  It's surprising how many times that works, even when you think you did it right the first time.

Code:
If you already have a copy of the EX alpha, delete it.
Ok, I didn't had a copy before, so I guess I'll have to skip this one.

Code:
If you don't already have Beta 7.25 download and install it as normal.
Did it.

Code:
Copy your sourcemods/ex folder containing beta 7.25 to sourcemods/ex_alpha (so you can still play the beta version too).
This is where problems begin - since I didn't had alpha before, I don't have such folder. Tried to create one, and follow instruction - gave me the issue I described before.

Code:
Extract the 7.26 patch to your sourcemods folder ( they should overwrite files in the ex_alpha folder ).
    Restart Steam.
You should now see both the Exterminatus Beta 7.0 and Exterminatus Alpha listed in your library.
This is ok, I was able to see both of them, but only Beta worked.

Please, don't tell me to follow instructions again, as I did it like 20 times ;d Could it come from lack of previous alpha versions/Source SDK 2007? <or was it 2005? the older one, the newer one I have works with beta but not alpha>

This is indeed where our problems started.  The EX alpha uses most of the same files as the EX beta, so you need to take a copy the Sourcemods/ex (beta folder) and all of it's contents and rename that copy to be sourcemods/ex_alpha.

In windows explorer (my computer):
  • Navigate to your "Sourcemods" folder (usually "c:\program files\steam\steamapps\sourcemods\")
  • Select your "ex" folder (where the beta is installed)
  • Copy your "ex" folder (CTRL+C)
  • Paste your "ex" folder (CTRL+V), windows will warn you that "ex" already exists and ask you if you want  to make a copy, say yes.
  • You should now have an "ex" folder and a "copy of ex" folder
  • Right click on the copy and select "Rename", enter the new name as "ex_alpha"
  • You should now have an "ex" folder and a "ex_alpha" folder with identical contents.
  • Extracting the alpha patch to your sourcemods folder should override some of the files in the ex_alpha folder, upgrading it from beta to alpha.

Did these steps, and now it works flawlessly. The instruction was bit confusing though - I thought I was supposed to move whole ex folder into ex_alpha one, not just the contents Tongue
Anyways, thanks and see you on the battlefield brother Tongue
