Alpha version 8.04 has a collection of a lot of little tweaks and improvements.

Installer

Zip File Patch (contains only the changes since the previous alpha)

"B" Patch, whichever of the above version you installed you'll need this patch too

(ModDB downloads may take a few hours to be authorised)

Due to technical difficulties I am forced to rely on Moddb to host the downloads for this patch.

Install the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer
  • Navigate to the "Tools" section on your Steam games "Library"/
  • Install the "Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer"
  • Run the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer at least once.
  • You can exit once the menu has finished loading.

Install the latest Exterminatus Alpha
  • If you already have a copy of the EX alpha, delete it.
  • Run the alpha installer and follow it's instructions.
  • Restart Steam.  You should now see both the Exterminatus Beta 7.5 and Exterminatus Alpha listed in your library.

Balance
  • Auotbalance should now prompt players on stacked teams to swap when killed. I need 4 or more players at once to test this.
  • Marine armor now gives them 5 points flame resistance.

Tweaks
  • Added weapon bob to all weapons while moving.
  • Tweaked turret AI to improve it's yaw and pitch accuracy.
  • Tweaked HUD objectives, to prevent them sticking when out of view.
  • Tweaked the heavy bolter just to use the new sound.
  • Tweaked bolt* muzzleflashes trying to get the tarantula to use both barrels.
  • Tweaked blood effects on players when hit to make them more visible.
  • Tweaked several tyranid assets to match the new hive fleet.
  • Tweaked the lighting and skybox on lycantium.
  • Improved model textures and shaders from DontAsk.

DontAsk has some very promising particle effects in the works that I hope will be up to par for inclusion in the next Alpha.

A "B" patch has been released to fix the unexpected asserts on the client-side. (see above)

Hey Chrome, I understand you had troubles with access to the FTP? I've remounted now, try again :-).
