Alpha 8.16 includes a new version of ex_hive and ex_orbital, improvements to the new Lictor cloaking effect and updated sound effects.
The FTP is on the blink again, so i'm relying on ModDB to authorise and distribute this version.
Install the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer- Navigate to the "Tools" section on your Steam games "Library"
- Install the "Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer"
- Run the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer at least once.
- You can exit once the menu has finished loading.
Install the latest Exterminatus Alpha- If you already have a copy of the EX alpha, delete it.
- Run the alpha installer and follow it's instructions.
- Restart Steam. You should now see both the Exterminatus Beta 8 and Exterminatus Alpha listed in your library.
Balance- Buffed Power sword, damage from 75 to 85.
Bug Fixes- Cloaked Lictors should now be hidden from target IDs and crosshairs.
Tweaks- ex_hive has been modified, bloking connections on the tyranid side of the map.
- ex_orbital has been edited to shorten the long hallway and open more routes between the control and generator objectives.
- The new cloaking effect only makes you partially invisible to team mates.
- Switched the first person Lictor talons to use the new cloaking effect.
- New cloaking and uncloaking sound effects from DontAsk.
- New ambient combat sound effects from DontAsk.
