Alpha 8.46 is all about tuning up EX , fixing a bug and polishing up existing assets. There is not much to be seen this week because the tutorial scripting and the player collision code have been such unproductive time-sinks. I very nearly didn't bother releasing this alpha, but then I figured that I might as well let you see what
did get done this week.

Install the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer- Navigate to the "Tools" section on your Steam games "Library"
- Install the "Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer"
- Run the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer at least once.
- You can exit once the menu has finished loading.
Install the latest Exterminatus Alpha- If you already have a copy of the EX alpha, delete it.
- Run the alpha installer and follow it's instructions.
- Restart Steam. You should now see both the Exterminatus Beta 8.38 and Exterminatus Alpha listed in your library.
Tweaks- Tweaked plasma weapon particles, thanks to DontAsk4470 for the particle effects.
- Tweaked the ambient idle sound to turrets, so louder and more continuous.
- Polishing some more of the old 40k computer props to use double the texture resolution.
- Finished polishing up the portcullis door prop, you can see this in the orbital cargo bay.
- Aesthetic tweaks to ex_ichar_IV. Replacing a some HL2 props and textures with 40k versions.
Bug Fixes- Fixed the carnifex venom cannon combo not playing it's firing sound or using the venom cannon tracer.
The tutorial level is still being worked on, but progress is much slower than I had hoped. I really need a better plan on what exactly the tutorial is trying to teach. So far i've got by without adding any special hacks in the code for use by the tutorial, but it's very temping to code around all the menus and game rules.
I have been attempting to get players to pass through their team mates, to prevent dreadnaghts trapping themselves in the red room, but have very little success as far as I can tell.
EX now has more voice actors that I know what to do with. I've been handing out lines to Bulkwark and Ancient for them to reocrd. Pity we don't have as many coders as voice actors :/
