Beta 9 - Release Candidate 3, features a new chaotic, version of the Orbital space station map and yet another updated version of csm_trench.
This is a Beta release that rolls up all the changes since the previous roll up back in July. As such their is no patch available this week, just the installer and a 7Zip archive of the full mod. It also installs to the "ex" folder, rather than "ex_alpha"
The ModDB mirrors unlock at 17:00 GMT, if it's busy or not working the installer can be downloaded from
40ksource.com. Please try the ModDB first.

Since CSM won't be getting any more classes for a while and their is a clamour for more legion skins i've decided to release a package to help players make their own custom CSM skins right now. If you're interested in trying this please
Download the CSM skin templates (92.4mb) and follow the readme.txt inside.
Features- New map csm_orbital by DontAsk4470, based on Nic2's original ex_orbital.
- New textures by DontAsk4470 as seen in csm_orbital.
Tweaks- Enabled the use of custom skins.
Future PlansDepending on how testing of this release candidate goes we may go ahead and release Beta 9 next weekend. Any screenshots, demos or videos of recent EX games you have could help promote Beta 9, please get in touch and share them with me.
The plan is still to move on to work on the space marine scout once Beta 9 has been released. Then release PSD templates of chapter skins to allow players to make their own chpater packs. Hopefully the ability to make DIY skin packs will see new skins faster then waiting for me to get around to it. I'll then update all the existing marine chapter packs support the scout and the chapter specific battlecries Bulwark has already recorded. Adding a new playable class will mean that game balance will almost certainly need testing and tuning.
Once all that is done I look forward to taking EX out of Beta and making public the version 1.0 release.
