Hey ChromeAngel, its Nemo, or Mozes, depending on who you remember me as!

Anyways! Got ur mail, Downloaded the Level design sdk, and I've been piddling around a bit... I've got some questions about gameplay though,  can i ask them here? or pm?

Also, with the new HL2 engine, having some prop models would be an exceptional resource - i hope you plan on incorporating them as much as possible!

I would like to make a map or two, I've got some free time here around christmas as work is slow.

Hiya FluffyShuffle,

Please post your gameplay questions here, I am sure they will be applicable to other people too.

Yes, we plan to make use of models in EX.  Their are already plenty of 40k themed props in the models/props/ folder of the MDK to be going on with and we have some modellers working on some statues too.

1. I am not sure which game modes are incorporated into  Exterminatus,  is it just Synapse? or is Exterminatus (the game mode) also included?

2. Im assuming most fighting will be happening in broad ranged "outdoor" style maps right? (or is this flexible...?)

3. How does one team "win"?

A) Just the synapse mode for now.

A) For now most of the maps are intended to be outdoors to allow for the teams drop ships to reinforce them.  However for a fun map with the MDK you can get away with putting the dropships in another part of the map and having the player's "teleport" in to their spawns.

3. How does one team "win"?

A) Their are 2 conditions under which victory is awarded :

1) All the objectives are capture by one team and all the members of the other team are dead.
2) The ex_gameplay entity lets the mapper specify which team has won.  This is intended to be triggered by capturing the last in a series of ex_objectives, but it's actualy quite flexible, if you'd rather just make a capture the flag map or whatever Wink

Trust me, there will be props.
There is a site full of free stuff, for modders to download. But i feel really contaminated if i recommend you that: www.addondb.com it might hold some stuff you need.
It would be a good thing to request props in a specific map thread, where you post your progress screenshots.
