RS1: Gaming Thread

Well first off, im going to say hi to everyone on this forum as its one of my first posts

Well after we had that little RS1 game with some of the dev team a couple of months back, ive been rather sad i havnt been able to get a good game of rs 1 in, there seemed to be no servers up or running or anythings.

However, today when i went back onto the RS1 servers list with a heavy heart, ready for more disappointment, inoticed that the rs1 server had returned to us!

I was just posting here to try and get more of you to play RS 1 while you wait for exterminatus to be completed, better than coffee to keep you calm waiting for a beta!

Hi and welcome to the forum!

There are quite a few of us who are still on the look out for games, recently however it seems to be a bit quiet on the gaming front at the moment.  Your best bet at finding someone to play is to join our irc channels #wh40k for RS1 and #rspecies2 for Ex.  There are usually several people in there who want a game and when there are a few people on the server more people usually turn up.  

The idea of regular games of RS has been played with, perhaps it is time to bring the subject up again?

it is also still the easter holiday in many places, a lot of what could eb considered regulars have not been seen for a while ( i read the server logs to see whats been happening)

on another note that server is dedicated and ran from a company in London, however for various reasons it occasionally implodes and stops working. Its still there just locked up and needs a restart.

As i have no access to it at work it normally gets turned back on if broken at about 7pm GMT when i get home and find its on fire again.

I had a plan to compile a friends list using the steam network of friends who play RS and keep them all informed when a game would be available.

Just had a good game till that happened had a decent number of people in game 3 a side, not bad considering.

Had a few WAAAAAAAAAAGH rushes with follow bots.. good times good times.

i run my own dedicated server from time to time. although i'm in australia so the latency will be rather high (300+ im guessing). so if that helps at all i'd be happy to put it up.
