Rough and work in progress but has some nice layers. Goes with the designers thesis

Here

although I'm wondering if you guys want a more deliberate emphasis on each stage(which would make the whole sound longer and slower to fire the gun).

As usual, comments and feedback please

doesnt sound to 'nid' to me
it sounds maybe to human? to me i found it similar to a gun charging then letting lose a powerful beam, not a lil bu whizzing through the air after being shot from an organic blunderbuss

Sounds a lot like the "thumpers" used to keep antlions at bay in HL2.  The more organic part at the start is kind of lost in the deep thump.  More crunchy squishy hissy please  Smiley

Agreed. It is usable now, but would be better if the "boom" sounded a bit more organic.
I suggest adding something sounding like chemicals reacting, or spitting.

Me and my mic

First noise is the "organ" depressurizing and the second and thrid is just the projectile

The first boom is really good.
But it' a bit too boring to stand on it's own, the last two sounds are too much like the first one and each other.

I think it would be a great effect if the loading part from DeBaron would be combined with the primary boom from Maltesefalcon.
And have seperate sounds for the flying projectile and the projectile impact.
