Admittedly, they do look lovely. Pity it's not the real deal though. I love how all the stupid kids are al screaming on the videos comments, "AWESOME! GR81!1 w00t!!!112 L33T UBERPAWZORAGE!!!", without actually checking to see if it legit. Stupid children.

I checked the Relic forums and contrary to what was posted in the comments, there's nothing there about DoW2, although there is a HUGE set of posts about what we'd like to see in it.

I'd like to see an editable armor thing where you can import pieces of armour or body parts using say 3dsmax and then import them into DoWII.

The real DoW 2 looks like it's going to be awesome. Going to be a long wait but I'm still having fun with Soulstorm.

Hadn't heard about that one yet. Although it's using the Essence Engine v2.0... Damn, that means I'll need to do a full new build of my computer to play the thing properly...

I'll stop eating for the next few months.

Do any of you know if this is a sequel to the DoW storyline?  With Gabriel Angelos and the Daemon?

Hi all,

Don't know if you've already aware of this but just saw a thoroughly awesome E3 video teaser for DW2. Hopefully I got the link below right but in any case its on the official DW2 website. Enjoy!

That was...that was...

That was just beyond words...

I was sure there was meant to be something else to that video when I first watched it, heh.

Damn, Relic has kicked arse with this game...

I hope they keep the original Dawn Of War building a base style..cos im just curious of how you get more units onto the battlefield and keep a constant supply of troops moving up to the frontlines!. cos if they do it like COH i dont think i would want to play it..because think about it...if all your guys die, wheres your reinforcements going to come from?. i think they should stick with building a military base etc..it prolongs the gameplay and prolongs the fight and makes it more gruesome Tongue

The base building is gone, you can apparently requisition new troops at certain points on the map you can control (similar to the CP's in DoW).

But very limited base building, more troop action.

I don't think Marines bother with building pretty stuff when skirmishing , they most of the time drop pod on your head , "death from the sky" on your back , or teleport in the bathroom of your renegade IG commander before doing their job.

I think the game ll rely on that kind of stuff for reinforcement : Drop pods/webway gates/spores/Orky equivalent , but they ll only be triggerable at some places ( An orbital station/radar/comlink for marines , gate for eldars , spore tower for nids or breeding thing etc... ).

So , you ll have to take care much more of your dudes in DOW2 than in DOW : "yeah let's send this scout squad into melee with the banshee , so i can shot them down with my tactical squad" is out of question , and it's good.

I want action and cinematic-like ass whooping, not starcraft minutious units creating and timed base assaults...
