After a painfully long and agonisingly close poll the time has come to close the Great Setting poll.  By the will of the people... A draw!

Orks 35%
Tyranids 35%

Unfortunately we cant practically do both    So we have to go to a tiebreaker, the secondary poll and see who has changed their mind in the meantime.  Here at least we have a much clearer result Cheesy

Tyranids 84%

Sorry Ladz but that's democracy for you  Now at last we can start making some bugeyez.  Hardcore Ork fans, go show you're support for http://w40kamod.roxorgamers.com/index.php?file=News we wish them luck.

Of course Tyranids vs Imperium could work several ways.  I and the team have put together a short list of the different modes we could do and would like you all to vote on which one you would like to play.  Rather than going straight to a poll and having folks change their mind we've decided to publish the modes a week before the poll to allow proper discussion.

Here are the modes that have been shortlisted :
    Exterminatus
    Tree of Life
    Synapse
    Genestealer Cult War
    [/list]

In case you're wondering those are all links, click 'em to find out what the hive has in mind...

Thoughts on the results of the setting poll?
Thoughts about how the modes are chosen?
Thoughts about how the modes shortlisted?
Want to know what didnt make the the list?

No, he's talking RS 1, not Exterminatus.
RS is old, Exterminatus isn't out yet.

hmm, perhaps i should have written RS 1 and not "normal RS" hehe.
tried it yesterday, found 2 servers at latency 425 (yes it did kind of **** me off Smiley) i would host a server but my router is crappy so it will "freeze" up now and then for like 3 sec. which is annoying. cant wait to kill those bloody bugz in RS:EX

I only have a suggestion for the Tyranid models.

It seems the modellers have given the 'nids hands, and are simply putting a coil on the gun for the bug to hold onto. What would work better would to have stumps at the wrist, with the biomorph hand fused with the gun, very similar to the tabletop miniatures. Although modelling the fused gun/hands, it will overall look much better, and it allows the entire weapon/hand to be blown up in size for bigger stuff like 'fexes to use. It would be very interesting indeed if the Exterminatus 'fex was as customisable as the tabletop Carnifex is...

overall, it's looking to be great, and I will certainly be looking foward to getting my hands on it, and testing out my FPS skills

I think that is actually what the team is doing already.
    So don't worry.
