Will be the name of the map that I have decided to make for you guys! Just to show my appreciation of this awesome mod you are all making! The name, of course, can be subject to change, I don't really mind. Oh, and you should know since I couldn't get the Exterminatus Hammer package to work I will be using normal HL2DM to make this map. I was told that was acceptable by Typheron.

I will have screen shots for you once soon-ish and I hope my mapping skills are up to standard with what you are looking for.

The map itself will be the inside of an Imperial Castellum or Fortress.  It is centered around a narrow trench. One side of the trench will be for the brave Ultramarines to defend from and the other side will be for the Tyranids to charge down to assault the side of the Fortress being held by the Imperial forces. On either side of the trench will be two sides of the Fortress.  Roughly that is it.

I am open to any requests anyone has that can be implemented into this map.

This is pretty much what I have done so far. There is another wall and grate on the other end of the trench. As you can see there are some spikes, barriers, and just out of view is a trench.  The wall at the end needs ornamentation and I wanted to put skulls on the dark parts of that barrier you can see. There is the broken bridge and stuff.

So, am I qualified to make maps for you guys?

Getting started on the ornamentation of the walls. I want to capture that gothic architecture of the Imperium.

These small arches I am not happy with however, I want them to stand out against the stone but I can't find a suitable texture. Any suggestions?

You might want to try  building_template021a  (a dark grey concerte/stone texture).  I have been using  building_template028a (a dark greenish grey stone) quite a lot and the MDK include several "imperialised" textures based on it.

I do hope you have the larger items built before getting stuck into such fiddly stuff.

Cheers!

And no fear, I always create skeleton of things before adding the flesh, so to speak.
