This month we passed another Exterminatus mile stone, having polished up the Orange Box version to the point it has become stable enough to roll out to our beta testers.  The new beta has also been sent out to some professional developers we've been in contact with at THQ and Valve.

We have just completed a trade between Exterminatus and Renegade 40,000 to exchange Warhammer 40,000 models, helping both mods working toward their future goals.  ChromeAngel has been training up a new model contributor called Farseer in the art of UV mapping.  Farseer hit the ground at Exterminatus running by contributing three new props this month alone.

A fairly new recruit to the community DiViNiTY has made some sound cues for us to add more drama to the process of capturing objectives in-game, in addition to his earlier contribution of sound tracks.  You can listen to some of DiViNiTY's work over at the Exterminatus moddb page.

It's always good to get an update.

How many more beta tests are we looking at though? Are you aware or is it a matter of whether or not bugs pop up?

Enough tests to locate the cause of the bugs we do have, or to prove they are issues with the game engine (out of our control).

THQ asked us for a beta copy of EX before we moved to the OB and I sought Valve's assistance with the voice comm bug that lead to us changing engines.

Well that is awesome...but I wonder why it is THQ...It isn't like they have copyright on any GW stuff, maybe they're just checking to see if you ripped off any DoW stuff, haha. Or perhaps they just want to play it for real!  Grin

Still, I would have thought if anyone would be interested it would be Relic...  Huh?

Edit: Btw Chrome I sent you a PM and I don't think you've seen it yet, since you haven't replied.

Chrome is Super busy right now, appart from coding the mod, repairing the maps he's worked on, tutoring Farseer on modeling and the busyness of his real life away from Ex he does not always have to to answer all the PM's he gets.

Half the time im suprise he has time to eat or sleep.

So more patience or PM me and ill help where i can.

Oh it really wasn't the most important of questions!

And I should have been more considerate about Chrome's schedule! Sorry about that!  Sad
