Hi, I just registered here.
As you can see in my signature, I work at hlportal.de, Germany's biggest site for Half-Life and its modifications. I regularly check your homepage (40ksource.com, moddb.com,...) for informations, because I play the tabletop game, too and really am looking forward to the release of your mod.
I just did a news on our site from your last update ( http://www.hlportal.de/?site=news&do=shownews&news_id=6266 ).

If you are interested, I would join as a beta tester, too; just need to know, what I will have to do and everything else Wink If wished, I would be able to write more detailled informations on the gameplay so far (only that you want to get public, of course).

Thank you for your interest, and welcome to the forums, also http://40ksource.de/ - our german webby version. Hmm needs updating.

However our BETA allotment (that is the number of people required) is currently full, please see this thread for more information:

http://www.40ksource.com/forum/index.php?topic=446.0

More spaces may be opened later in the development cycle, there will be an announcement of thats the case.

Howdy all,

Real name is Mike. Like most people here, I'm an avid fan of Warhammer 40 000. I play Necrons as far as tabletop, but I absolutely love the Space Marine lore.

Anyways, I read through the FAQ, and decided to try and earn a place on the dev team. I've been mapping for Half Life since 1999, done a fair share of modeling/animating, etc. I'm currently studying to be an animation major. My animation skills are decent, but limited, as I usually spend my time playing the games I map for.

I have a few map ideas roughed out, and should be ready to be play-testroyed sometime this week. No screens yet.

Till I have something to show,

How many people do you have working on maps? Rather, how many maps have made serious progress?

Define Melee?

Can you attack enemy players with weapons such as knifes and talons, yes.
Do we have a dedicated system designed to simulate blocks and parrys, no.

I mean really your not parrying a blow from a 12 foot tall alien warmachine, no matter how awesome your father was or how genetically uber you are, or how nifty your armour is.
