I think Exterminatus could use more dramatic emphasis when Objectives are captured.  The player capping the objective gets points, the teams get new missions and the objective marker changes to match it's new team.  However i'm not yet feeling that the importance of objectives is being emphasized enough.

Now i'm thinking what it needs is some musical or sound cues that can be played to all the players when an objective is captured, something to say that the objective is now owned by the team that captured it.  Something that will cut though the din of battle and amke the player realize the battle has taken a turn for (better or worse).

Can anyone out there record, mix or make a pair of sounds for this purpose?

I'd like to have 2 sounds for this:
1 ) Imperial capture of an objective - some kind of military drum-roll crescendo? a marine battle cry?
2 ) Tyranid capture of an objective - An Alien like orchestral discord? Tyranic roars/cheers/howls?

How bout for the UM's their Battlecry? According to Warhammer 40k wiki, their Battlecry is "Courage and Honor!"..... if that dont work, then maybe like "For the Emperor!" or "In the Emperor's Name!". Regarding nids a howl of screeching nid sounds could do the trick....

AFIK? what does that mean?

And what do you need to "Make" these sounds? just like a recording program and a microphone? (and making the sound ofc)

A.F.I.K. (As Far as I Know)

Musical cues can largely be done with a synthesizer, vocal cues almost certainly need a microphone and someone to be recorded saying the lines.  There are some free to use sound "libraries" out there from which industrious sound techies can cobble together in  layers with clever editing and effects to make a new sounds.

Not bad but I feel they should be more dynamic for Space Marines, and far creepier for Tyranids.  The 2nd and 4th pieces you made are the closest to what I would expect.

Good first attempt there DiViNiTY.  I hooked a couple of these up in-game and we tested it at the weekend.  Good response from the Alpha testing team, but they did ask if they could be made louder.

When the tyranids capture (cry 2) it sounds similar to the roar sound effect for charging tyranids.  Can you make it sound more like a whole brood of tyranid creatures roaring?

More dramatic urgency would be an improvement, in a fast moving game it feels like you're half way to the next objective by the time the last beat of the fanfare has played out.
